Steven Boal, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors

Steven Boal founded Quotient in 1998 and serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Prior to founding Quotient, Mr. Boal served as vice president of business development for Integral Development Corporation, a privately held financial software company in Silicon Valley. Prior to that, Mr. Boal was vice president and head of global emerging markets derivative technology at J.P. Morgan. Before that, he was president of OptEdge, a real-time options, analytics and risk management business. Mr. Boal also held various management positions at TriStar Market Data, eventually running the company’s Montgomery Securities division.

He is also the Founder and Chairman of electronic gift card company Cashstar (acquired by Blackhawk NYSE:HAWK) and a founding board member of Matia Robotics, a robotic mobility device company. Mr. Boal holds a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany.

Scott Raskin, President

Scott Raskin is President of Quotient. He joined the Company in August 2019 after serving on the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Quotient, Scott was President and Chief Executive Officer of Spigit, Inc., the market leader in innovation management software, and led the company through several years of record sales and customer growth. He also served as a member of their Board of Directors.

Prior to acquiring Spigit in 2014, he spent eight years growing Mindjet from a startup to a category leader in cloud-based productivity, acquired by Corel in 2016. Before that, Raskin served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Telelogic. Through strategic acquisitions and organic growth, he built a team of more than 1,200 employees in thirty countries. His efforts resulted in the successful acquisition of Telelogic by IBM. Earlier in his career, Raskin served as Vice President of Sales and Corporate Development at Nexgenix, a pioneer in e-commerce solutions, where he grew the business from startup to exit. Raskin has also held senior management positions at Bachman Information Systems and MAI Basic Four.

Raskin currently serves on the Board of Directors for privately held MariaDB and Neology, Inc. He also served on the board of CRS Temporary Housing, acquired by GenNx360 Capital Partners and Cision AB, acquired by GTCR. He is a charter member of the San Francisco Bay YPO Chapter and past Chapter President. Raskin graduated from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas, Austin.

Pamela Strayer, Chief Financial Officer

Pamela Strayer is Chief Financial Officer at Quotient, leading all corporate finance, including financial planning, accounting, capital structure, tax and treasury. Ms. Strayer joined Quotient in November 2019.

Ms. Strayer served previously with Poly (formerly Plantronics) as Chief Financial Officer from 2012 through March 2019. Previously, from 2005 to 2012, Ms. Strayer served as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller at Autodesk Inc., a world leading software design and services company. In addition, Ms. Strayer was a director on the board of directors for Viavi Solutions, Inc. from 2015 to 2018 where she served as chairperson of the audit committee.

Ms. Strayer holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Ohio State University.

Connie Chen, General Counsel, Compliance Officer and Secretary

Connie Chen is General Counsel, Compliance Officer and Secretary at Quotient and oversees the company’s legal and regulatory affairs. Ms. Chen joined Quotient in 2013 and assumed the role of general counsel in 2016. She brings more than 20 years of experience in litigation, intellectual property, licensing and commercial transactions. Before joining Quotient, she spent nearly a decade at Rambus Inc., a semiconductor and IP product development company, as vice president, litigation & deputy general counsel, where she led Rambus’s litigation and intellectual property enforcement and protection. She has also held positions at the law firm of Morrison & Foerster LLP and at WebMD, where she served as Assistant General Counsel.

Ms. Chen received her A.B. from Stanford University, where she graduated with distinction. She holds her juris doctorate from Stanford Law School.

Chad L. Summe, Chief Operating Officer

Chad L. Summe is Chief Operating Officer, responsible for our operations and go-to-market strategies with CPGs and retailers. Previously, Chad was Senior Vice President & General Manager, Brands and Retail at Quotient, leading sales and overseeing the company’s brand and retail partnerships. He joined Quotient in 2012 and was the Vice President and General Manager of US Sales from 2016 to 2017 and Vice President of the Central Division prior to that, spearheading the company’s expansion in Cincinnati.

Before joining Quotient, Mr. Summe spent time as a marketing executive in Procter & Gamble’s baby care division working on both Pampers and Luvs brands.  During his time on Pampers, P&G’s largest global brand, he helped drive brand strategy across multiple regions, including North America, Europe, and Asia.  He also was a nuclear engineer in the United States Navy’s Submarine Force on board the USS Topeka (SSN 754).

Mr. Summe graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in Economics (Honors) and holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He’s on the boards of the Cincinnati Economics Center and the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Jason Young, Chief Media Officer

Jason Young is Quotient’s Chief Media Officer and is responsible for overseeing media, including media-related data strategy, product, and engineering. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Media and General Manager of Crisp Mobile. He leads Quotient’s media business and brings more than 20 years of digital advertising experience.

Mr. Young joined Quotient as part of the company’s acquisition of Crisp Mobile in 2017, where he was CEO. He was previously CEO and founder of Smart Device Media, a premium mobile ad network company that was acquired by Crisp in December 2011. Prior to Smart Device Media, he spent nearly two decades at Ziff Davis, as part of the executive team that led Ziff from print to a digital. He served as President of the internet division from 2001-2007 and as CEO of the company until 2010.

Mr. Young received his BA from Tufts University.

Blake Burrus, Senior Vice President of Analytics

Blake Burrus is Senior Vice President of Analytics at Quotient, leading the company’s analytics and insights teams. He joined Quotient in 2016 and brings more than 15 years of experience working with consumer packaged goods (CPGs) and retailers, using data to optimize marketing effectiveness and forecast sales.

Most recently, Mr. Burrus held senior roles at startups focused on marketing analytics and insights. Before that, he spent more than a decade at Nielsen partnering with customers to improve advertising effectiveness and optimize new product introductions. He led the expansion of Nielsen’s neuroscience practice in North America as Senior Vice President of Nielsen NeuroFocus. He was also a senior leader in the Nielsen innovation practice, responsible for global expansion across Europe and Asia helping CPGs, telecoms and pharmaceutical companies forecast and optimize new product launches.

Blake holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana University Bloomington.

Julie Gerdes, Senior Vice President of Product Management

Julie Gerdes is Senior Vice President of Product Management at Quotient, and leads product strategy for Quotient’s product portfolio, including its consumer, retail and data products. She has almost 20 years of experience leading product management teams, including product strategy & roadmaps, product definition, customer research, user experience and development processes with an emphasis on cross-team collaboration. Since joining Quotient in 2012, Ms. Gerdes has overseen all of Quotient’s consumer products, including its flagship consumer savings destination, Coupons.com. She has also played a key role in the development and roll out of Quotient Retailer iQ.

Prior to joining Quotient, Ms. Gerdes has held product development roles at various Silicon Valley startups as well as COXnet, a division of Cox Newspapers, in Atlanta. She holds a bachelor of business administration from Georgia State University.

Xavier Facon, Senior Vice President of Media Technology & Product

Xavier Facon is Senior Vice President of Media Technology & Product Management at Quotient and leads the technology and product strategy for all ad tech, media, data and creative products.

Mr. Facon joined Quotient as part of the company’s acquisition of Crisp Mobile in 2017, where he was CTO and Founder. Xavier is a software veteran with more than 20 years of experience in digital media who was regularly involved in initiatives that both disrupted and moved the industry forward. He co-founded the Micro Java Network in 2000, which quickly grew into a global development community for an early mobile app industry, and ORMMA in 2010 which laid the groundwork for the universally deployed IAB MRAID API that standardizes delivery of HTML5 ads into native apps. Personalization of the consumer experience has been his passion and the foundation for several ecommerce, content management or advertising platforms he has co-developed.

Xavier writes regularly on the state of digital advertising and holds degrees in Computer Science and Business Management from his country of origin, Belgium.

Casan Callaway, Senior Vice President of Global Operations

Casan Callaway is the Senior Vice President of Global Operations at Quotient, overseeing the company’s operations functions worldwide. The operations team is responsible for consumer support, executing digital offers, media and advertising operations, including retailers and consumer packaged goods companies. Operations consists of multiple roles located across the globe all focused on delivering operational excellence through scalable systems, processes, and world-class customer service.

Mr. Callaway joined the company in 2009, and brings over 15 years of experience in sales, business development, and business analytics. Prior to joining Quotient, he spent four years at Random House Publishing, where he pioneered industry eBook initiatives to digitize content, grow account distribution channels, and increase consumer adoption. He was also a consultant, working with large financial institutions.

Mr. Callaway completed a double major in Economics and American Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where he cheered on his beloved Golden Bears.

Jon Beill, Managing Director Shopmium & Quotient Europe

Jon Beill is the Managing Director for Shopmium and our European operations. He oversees the expansion of Shopmium, the mobile receipt-scanning and cash-back app platform, as well as other solutions for the European markets we operate in.

Jon joined Quotient in 2017 with nearly 20 years of experience in insight and media roles predominately in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods and grocery retail. Prior to Quotient, Jon worked at dunnhumby for 12 years including five years of leading business expansion across Europe and four years heading the Commercial function in the UK where he delivered on sales profit and loss targets across insights and media and launched new digital media products into the UK marketplace. He also has significant experience delivering new loyalty and customer communication programs as well as promotions strategies into retailers and brands.

He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Brighton in Sussex, UK.

Jake Hofwegen , Senior Vice President of Revenue Operations

Jake hails from Amsterdam, The Netherlands and started his career in the mid 90's with McAfee. Jake moved to California in the late 90s to be a part of the McAfee.com, McAfee’s consumer spin off and the world’s first SaaS IPO.

After McAfee.com Jake held various Sales Operations and Enablement leadership roles at technology companies such as Zonelabs (acquired by checkpoint), WebSense (Forcepoint), Mindjet and NetSuite, where he played a crucial role in the company's growth and eventual acquisition by Oracle for over $10B. More recently, Jake ran Global Revenue Operations at Yext which, under his leadership, had a successful IPO in 2017.

Jake lives in San Francisco and enjoys playing soccer, surfing and doing the Sunday crossword. Jake's guilty pleasure is karaoke, where he makes up for his lack of talent with an abundance of enthusiasm.
